Harmful

Like any waste, junk food is harmful for our body. similarly our waste thoughts, waste emotions also harmful for our mind, body.

My Covid and post covid experience.: My Yog Journal

October 2nd week, After 7 days of self-isolation followed by LFT, out of the blue in midnight, I felt someone is chocking my throat. It was severed throat pain from inside, I rushed to bathroom and to my surprise I spit blood. It was scary. I was clueless for how to respond to this experience for a while. Till this time I didn’t had cough, cold or temperature in past few days, in fact I thought I was asymptotic. However seeing blood in my sputum was scary but other than that, I was fit and fine, so I considered it as covid symptoms and took it easy. Next day it was bit ok in morning, But after couple of phone calls (thanks to my family and friends they were checking on me), I started frequent blood. Every 15-20 minutes I was spitting, and there was blood in my sputum. I stopped talking. I was bit scared inside. I called 111 but because of Saturday afternoon, they took time in reply. I had to call again after few hours as now I was spitting blood in every 15-20...

Life journey.

When I was a child, I was scared of darkness and strangers. I used to afraid of ghost, I struggled to find things and used to shout or became anxious and impatience. With time, I learnt when there is a dark, switch on the light.  I have learnt an art how to smile at strangers and make friendship. I have learnt that Ghost is in mind, also becoming impatience is not the solution and now easily i find the stuff. All these took years, with fully developed mind (brain cells) & experiences many things are not same so neither me. So in my journey, I know One day I will reach to the highest possible level and so everyone will too. I am accepting everyone's ignorance same as mine.  I am at peace. I am strong. every moment, I am growing, growing and growing. During cyclone, wind or storm, I might shake, I might shiver but I know all these are like dark tunnel. at the end of the tunnel, there is light, bright light and I welcome that light inside me.  we all are walking towards ...

Mood and Commitments

There are many situations in life where you cannot act on your mood. For example, if you’re in a plane and suddenly you feel you don’t want to continue the journey, though your mood has changed halfway you cannot get out of the plane! You've got to be there. It’s not a car that you’re driving where you can turn back. Even for the car you have to find the exit where you can turn back. You can’t turn anywhere. So, life teaches you hard lessons if you don’t respect wisdom. Know that life goes with commitment, not moods. Moods are very unstable. They come, they change. But commitment and wisdom always bring the best results. -Sri Sri Ravishankar

We are what we practice.

When we practice Love, we don’t hate anyone. We learn to accept the differences. When we practice Forgiveness, we don’t judge anyone. We learn to accept ignorance. When we practice Inner strength, we see great possibilities in every soul. we admire values in everyone. When we practice Gratitude, we value our memory. We remind only good experiences. When we practice Smile, we accept pain and misery. We consider every situation is God’s gift. When we practice Joy, we value our present moment. We focus more what is in our hand. When we practice Compassion, we value even smallest form of life. We see the divine in everyone. When we practice Curiosity, we value our imagination. We enjoy and learn like a child.                                                                    ...

Little story of nurturing 'Giving back to Society' in BG kids.

Inspired from last year SEWA contribution by doing Gardening with me, this year Jina wanted to reach the same amount or more (because of house shifting, we could not start gardening earlier). So we thought of conducting an Art workshop Instead. she happily helped so much for conducting Art workshop with me on her Birthday. We were so proud when she kept telling all her friends here, please don’t bring gifts but donate instead to First day Children’s charity. Kids are so innocent and Big heart too I realised that day. They try their level best when they learn to be happy in other’s happiness. That day I realised; she is proudly shifted from ‘Enjoy to Joy’ on her special day. After our Art workshop she asked me about how much we collected this time? I said, £60 approx. She was eager to raise more money and we were waiting for another workshop. She started insisting me again last week when I said we already reached target and can’t accommodate all BG kids at home too. She was not con...

Simple life thoughts

 1) Which negativity in mind for anything or anyone, we can't lead a positive life. 2) Spirituality means realisation of own habit of behaviour pattern which is hurting for near and dear ones. atleast simple and consistent efforts for improving in such habit means spiritual life. Gradually transformation happens within first and then outside situations and people's reactions or respons towards us. 3) our outside world or situation is 90% of the time, reflection of our own thought patterns. 10% it is exam to improve within. when we take responsibility of 90%, life becomes very easy.

Gardening = silent scientific processes observations

While doing gardening I am experiencing the silent scientific processes taking place all around me. I feel completely lost into nurturing for hours sometime. digging is helping me to be grounded to grow. more grounded roots means more bushy healthy plants and similarly for life. the bird chirping, the insects , observing constant lifecycle around me and knowing every moment, that this is just for few months, the season will change and these colours will take a turn. but they will bloom again with same joy, hope and mood of celebration (without complaining about dark, sad winter). why human are not so good in sync with nature in spite being intelligent? Happy Mind always attract more happiness

When I shift from buying a house to shifting from this house. Many things changed within.

Image
We bought a house. Generally we all feel joy, happiness associated with it and we do celebrate such occasion too.  But this time when someone asked me, when are you shifting? Something changed within. The whole house moment process took me to another level of my thinking. It always sounds exciting and like everyone’s dream it was our dream too to have a house with decent space for small Derasar (the place we worship). But surprisingly in this whole process I am becoming more soul conscious then before. That buying a house we spent so much time, energy. From valuation to solicitor's questions and then bank approval, too much of work. Infect team work when we actually wants to feel it as a home. In this whole process since couple of months, this time I was constantly thinking that ‘what about the moment when I will shift from this body. Will I get this much of time to be aware of bank (universal power’s ) approval to get good, better house (body, parents, education) then this exi...

A SILENT TRAGEDY

Image
There is a silent tragedy that is unfolding today in our homes, and concerns our most precious jewels: our children. Our children are in a devastating emotional state! In the last 15 years, researchers have given us increasingly alarming statistics on a sharp and steady increase in childhood mental illness that is now reaching epidemic proportions: Statistics do not lie: • 1 in 5 children have mental health problems • A 43% increase in ADHD has been noted • A 37% increase in adolescent depression has been noted • There has been a 200% increase in the suicide rate in children aged 10 to 14 What is happening and what are we doing wrong? Today's children are being over-stimulated and over-gifted with material objects, but they are deprived of the fundamentals of a healthy childhood, such as: • Emotionally available parents • Clearly defined limits • Responsibilities • Balanced nutrition and adequate sleep • Movement in general but especially outdoors • Creative play, social interactio...

My Experience with Shakha and now contributing to eVidyalay

Image
Respected Samiti Bhaginis, Pranam ๐Ÿ™ I can’t say enough thank you for being part of Samiti since I came to know about BG and Shakha. We were new to Reading and I met Niruben at Palmer Park around Sep/Oct-2015 for the first time. I still remember, My 4-year-old daughter happily came to me saying someone is speaking same English as we speak at home mummy. The joy was in her words brought sparks in my eyes as I was desperate to talk to someone. Happily, I went to that girl with my daughter. Her name was Maya. Was speaking English accent Gujarati and she was so sweet. I asked her, where is your mum? She pointed her finger towards group of ladies sitting far away like enjoying picnic. It was a formal talk being a Gujarati as she was with her sisters and had least interest to even talk to stranger. However, she was kind and suggested me BG for kids at Hindu Temple.   Then once I came to BG and was over excited seeing kids playing in a main hall, however I was unable to...

Right time

When J was 4 years old and after 2 nd child's birth, she was becoming more attention sicker, we started one-to-one piano lesson so at least for one hour she will be engaging with music and it will help her in her emotions after 2 nd child in home. However, she cried before every single lesson. After few months we decided to leave piano classes as she was not enjoying. After 3 years again I started her piano lessons with singing thinking music is a good hobby and she can learn from where her friends are learning. It was zoom classes, so she enjoyed for couple of lessons but then she just started crying and arguing for not interested into music. We tried our level best to help her to be resilient, but she was so strong will and said, she is much interested into craft and paintings only. We thought to respect her own choice of interests and left music classes again. But now, her good friend is playing piano and he taught her basic notes in a way, she said she wants to learn fr...

When someone misbehave in an emotional conflict.

When someone misbehave in an emotional conflict. First of all understand why do we misbehave? We all misbehave at some point of time. less or more is not a questions but we should try and understand our pattern about why and when do we misbehave? 1. emotional pain => root cause is any form of negative feeling (fear, jealousy, sadness, loneliness,  2. when another person is not getting or doing as per our expectations. our reactions are: anger, frustration or anxiety. Think, How do we feel if someone gives back anger, frustration or anxiety when we are already in emotional pain? Now let's check your own life. go to your childhood's special memories lanes. (no matter how miserable your childhood, there must be few special memories) When being a child, you made a mistake or misbehaved because of fear, frustration, anger or anxiety. Later your realized it was your fault. Later you felt scared, you cried, you felt guilt but then adult in your house/school/neighbours respond...

Types of Anger and karmic bondage

Anger because of negative emotions like hate, jealousy, greed, ego is generally accumulate more negative karmic matter. Anger because of lack of inability of expressions like toddler’s tantrum is more likely get right help and move on mature path. It is similar to a doctor who is in operation room and patient dies but they get less karmic bondage and can free from it because of intention is not to murder someone instead save someone’s life. Intention matters in every single emotions and thoughts at karmic level. However anger out of mithyadrasti and ignorance to make someone feel low, blame or criticism is considered heavy karmic bondage.  Passive Anger is more danger and lead to heavy karmic bondage. Passive anger is aggressive behaviour might include avoiding direct or clear  communication , evading problems, fear of intimacy or competition, making excuses, blaming others, obstructionism, playing the victim, feigning compliance with requests, sarcasm, backhanded compli...

Self Love

Image
When I am in focus, everything seems tiny and behind me, that is called self love :)  Illusion. but relative reality๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜Š I Love myself, I respect my smile. I connect myself with divine power within me and outside me. who has given me power to smile, I bow down to that governing power. I am my best friend. I am thankful to all good and bad comes in my way. Again it is Illusion but relative reality. ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜Š I am happy or I am Joyful, when I remove 'I' then only happiness and only Joyful state.  That is real connection with Universal power.  Then only eternal happiness, eternal joy. That is real. rest all is relative๐Ÿ™

No one is indispensable

A few years ago, my friend had just crossed age 50. Just about 8 days later she was struck with an ailment ... And she died swiftly. In the group we received a condolence message that ..."Sad .. she is no more with us"... *RIP*  ๐Ÿ™ Two months later I called her husband. A thought crossed my mind ..he must be devastated as he had a travelling job. Till her death she would oversee everything.. home.. education of their children... Taking care of the aged in-laws.. their sickness.. managing relatives.. _*everything, everything, everything*_ She would express at times.." my house needs my time, .. my hubby cant even make coffee tea, my family needs me for everything, but no one cares or appreciates the efforts i put in. I feel they all take me for granted ". I called her husband to see if the family needed any support, as, i felt her hubby must be feeling lost.. to suddenly have to handle all the responsibilities, for evetything.. aging parents, Kids, his travelling j...

Future: Personalised Education

Image
My 4 year boy today morning in conversation with his daddy. Daddy to V: ‘practice makes men perfect’. V to Daddy: Then what makes women perfect? It sounds funny, and we laughed. But Mother in me, Teacher in me couldn’t stop my self, analysing his way of paying attention to what he listen. My observation was: He is spontaneous, He is confident, He is quick in counter-questioning.  He is brilliant at this age                                     But He pays attention to actual details? NO. he pays attention to literal meaning. Curiosity is different then counter-questioning. There is thin line. Maybe with time, when kids learn to pay attention to meaning of the phrase, they get the real idea behind such saying. Can we actually teach them? Is exam or remembering details can teach that? My mind swings to some real-life examples where in few of them struggle with wisdom vs knowledg...

My First Story Book

Image
#bookpublish   #kidsStorybook Happy to share about my first book 'Majani Shishukathao' is published by Gurjar Prakashan Ahmedabad. proud to share that Gujarat Literature Academy has help me publishing this book. Can't manage book launch in library or with kids but happy to share the joy with friends  :) I shared my first story on my Gujarati blog and from there, well-known writer Lata Hirani has motivated me to keep writing my imagination with kids. It was fun. But book format would have not been possible without her motivation and guidance. I never dreamt to write kids literature, but by God grace it’s a reality now. I am deeply thankful to my kids, my both parents, Latamasi, Gurjar prakashan, Gujarat literature academy & Evidyalay team. ๐Ÿ™ https://www.amazon.in/MAJANI-SHISHUKATHAO-HIRA…/…/8193915666 https://hirals.wordpress.com/2015/07/05/majaanikhisakoli/
